Please forgive the recent hiatus. We've finally recovered from a few weeks of illnesses and a trip to computer hell. But we're back on track. The boys have a date with the operating room...we got the news thursday. After 7 ear infections in 6 months the prescription is ear tubes. It's such a simple procedure anymore, we're not too worried. And we've been told we'll see amazing results within a matter of hours after the quick procedure. So in a way we're really looking forward to it.
I've embarked on full-time mommyhood and am loving it. But I am desperately searching for some sort of employment that works into our schedule. With the way these boys are eating...we will really need some extra income. Here's a snippit of what we've been up to...
EATING US OUT OF HOUSE AND HOME...I was fully prepared for those typical toddler eating habits I've read about in all the books...picky, tiny appetites...well, not this pair. For example, one recent dinner consisted of a a chicken and cheese quesadilla, french fries, a can of mandarin oranges and three little containers of yogurt ... all equally shared between them. Not every meal is this hearty but many are. What can we expect by high school. Gift ideas for future birthdays? How about a side of beef? A crate of mandarin oranges, and you wouldn't believe the bananas we go through. Porter can easily eat two for breakfast...along with a waffle. Yikes!!!!
FASTEST LAND MAMMAL...Never underestimate the speed of a toddler. As I made a vain attempt to clean up our cozy apartment, one half of this dynamic duo tested my clock. It just so happens boys this age have a special sensor that can find a writing utensil in the most clever of hiding spots. This instance, a Sharpie...yup permanent marker...was spotted in the pudgy hand of the very proud little Max. But the offending tool went unnoticed until not one but four walls had been decorated. This happened in the span of not minutes but seconds. After a brief scolding I got to work scrubbing away the marks...Mr. Clean Magic Erasers are a dream come true!! With my back turned for only seconds the same little graffiti artist was caught escaping! He'd pushed a stool up to the door, unlocked the door and took off! The suspect was apprehended before making it out the front door of the building! AAAAGGGHHHH!!!!!
That's probably it for now. I'll get some more pics on pronto.
