Well here is our Blog. Now that I've been able to figure out how to put pictures on here, I plan to let everyone know where to find the site. I am so thrilled to have the opportunity to share our little family with so many of you so far away.
Well, to bring you up to date...the boys are amazing. Reaching their second birthday in June, they are already behaving like 2 year olds. There's alot of giggling, defiant screams and babbling going on here. Everyday it seems they've learned a new word. They're especially proficient in barnyard animal noises. Porter is also starting to recognize certain letters. He seems to be partial the "B". He can see the letter a mile away and repeats it constantly. Max is VERY strong for his age and reminds his little brother of his superior size every chance he gets. I can't tell you how many times we've had to say..."Max it's not nice to sit on your brother."
As for their parents...Joel and I are working at the same station, KPTM, the FOX affiliate here in Omaha, for now. I have been working part-time weekends as a reporter. As fun as it's been, that job is coming to an end next week. Working weekends isn't working all that well for us, considering the money I make only covers daycare expenses...so the sacrifice of not having a single day as a full family outweighs the itty bitty paycheck. So my last day is next Friday, then I'll be home with the boys full time until I am able to find something that really makes sense for us.
Joel is doing an amazing job making a silk purse out of a sows ear. He does his best to make a newscast look great while utilizing antiquated equipment and dealing with constant malfunctions.
So to escape his frustrations he needs only to think for a moment of the absolute silliness that ensues whenever our twin tornadoes are around. Immediately, his mind is filled with laughter and smiles, frustration replaced with the warmth of knowing this little family is what really matters.
Please check back from time to time and see what these little monkeys are up to. We hope you enjoy watching us grow as a family.
Love and miss you all!!!!
